His ideas about the drum set, drums, and drumming are always expanding with the main focus always being how to have more fun playing drums.

Here are a few testimonials from Chuck's students.

Studying with Chuck Silverman over the past 12 years is one of the best drumming decisions I’ve made.  Chuck is a consummate teacher and mentor. Learning the Spivack technique as taught to him by Murray Spivack and Richard Wilson has increased my self-confidence and relaxation of playing. Lessons always include reading in some form and my reading of drum notion has increased a thousand fold.  He has exposed me to more drumming styles in numerous musical genres. He is fun, creative and cares about his students. I am blessed and honored to have studied with, be mentored by and call Chuck a dear friend.  God bless you Chuck!

Casey wrote: "I attended one of your clinics in Saint Louis. I'm the one who's son won the brand new cymbal if you remember. I can tell you and whoever else wants to know that what you demonstrated that evening helped me turn a major corner in my playing and creativity that has jumped me to serious levels of independence on my kit and fresh bold idea's that allow me to really run with things. All the principles of the exercises can be applied in almost every style of music. My ability to play polyrythms and accent them in a way that still grooves has come from some of the basic idea's you performed in your clinic. The way the material was presented was easy to grasp and inspiring to want to play. Anyone who is serious at all about growing as a player in ability, and most importantly, as a human being, should take the time to hear what you have to offer and engage in questions that will be answered in a way you can be confident you will understand and are inspired to do it. Hope you come through again here some time soon. Sorry for such a long discertation but there it is any way."
